Based on the success of the previous four Summer Academies, we proudly announce the organization of this years SAE Summer Academy on Energy.
The SAE Summer Academy on Energy will be held in the summer of 2021, in Budapest, Hungary.
The main topic is the challenge of the energy markets.
Who can apply?
All university and college students can apply from all over the world, including BSc, MSc and PhD students. We warmly welcome students from fields engineering, IT, economics, science and management.

The registration fee includes the cost of accommodation, breakfast, one hot meal a day, welcome reception, social programs, gala dinner, travelling during the programs of the Summer Academy from ... 2021.
One optional day fee includes accommodation for one more night, breakfast and one hot meal for the optional day 1 (... 2021), travelling to the site visit.
Both optional day fee includes accommodation for two more nights, breakfast and one hot meal for the optional day 1 (... 2021), travelling to the site visit, and breakfast for optional day 2 (... 2021). The costs of meals and social programs of optional day 2 are are not included in the fee.

Hungarian Transmission System Operator
As at each academy, the participants take part in a project work related to the main topic. This year, the task will introduce the main operation of energy markets in practice, where the teams are the market participants who have to trade their production or cover their demands.
Besides the professional programs, we organize social programs to offer an opportunity to the participants to get to know each other and make informal interactions. Besides the welcome reception and the gala dinner, we also intend to show our guests the beautiful sights of Budapest.
Optional day 1
A site visit is planned to the Paks Nuclear Power Plant, the biggest power plant of Hungary providing half of the electricity production of the country, and some extra social events.
Optional day 2
Those who wish to stay for this extra day may join us on a trip to one of the beautiful locations of the Hungarian countryside.
